The Greek word for “it is finished” is tetelestai, hence the name of this shirt. This graphic tee symbolizes the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross for us and how our sins are now covered in his blood.
By Jesus dying on the cross and shedding his blood, he provided the forgiveness of sin. Because the judgment of sin (death) and the payment of sin (blood) were both complete, Jesus could say “it is finished.” His resurrection was proof that this deal was sealed.
